ABOUT THE INTER TUTTI NATIONAL project
Inter Tutti National is an international gathering ofmusic teachers and their students, which will take place during the regular Camp Musical Tutti session. Our goal is to provide individuals with a broader musical and pedagogical experience as they live, learn, teach and interact with others as part of a diverse international community. As with all Camp Musical Tutti activities, this project will welcome students of all ages, levels of ability and playing a variety of instruments.
This unique and exciting opportunity will bring music teachers and students together from around the world to share their ideas, teaching & learning strategies and common musical challenges so as to learn and be co-inspired through this multi-cultural exchange.
This first annual Inter Tutti National gathering will engage participants through the following activities:
- Demonstrations of pedagogical approaches through master classes with children & adults of varying abilities and experience
- Discussions on pedagogical methods and 21st century challenges in teaching music to a diverse population from children to the working adult amateur
- Collegial creative work activities such as the presentation of a teacher concert and the preparation of students for a gala community concert
- Evening sessions devoted to collaborative discussions and reflection
- The creation of a DVD comprised of teaching and performance highlights
- The development of an interactive website so as to sustain and expand this international dialogue and exchange of pedagogical ideas once participants return home.
